Fresh Start Shower Trailer for Unsheltered Men in Kent

The Club received a matching grant from the district to purchase an $8,000 trailer and the materials needed for a volunteer crew to install two showers with privacy walls. The trailer was dedicated on July 8, 2010, at a large community gathering at Kent Lutheran Church. Mayor Suzette Cooke, club president Tray Svendsen and a client of H.O.M.E. did the ribbon-cutting and tested the hot and cold water with inaugural "showers" - heads only! The trailer will be moved to other sponsoring churches.
